In 2021, Changing Seasons Ministry, Inc. launched the Cancer Foundation Program with a heartfelt mission: to provide vital financial support, compassion, and encouragement to individuals undergoing cancer treatment and care. We recognized that while insurance may offer partial coverage, it often falls short—leaving patients and their families to face unimaginable challenges alone. In some cases, treatment is even denied, making life feel unbearable in an already overwhelming season.

Our Cancer Foundation Program serves as a powerful support system for cancer patients, survivors, and their families—offering relief, resources, and reassurance during the hardest battles of their lives. With unwavering faith and dedication, we work to bridge the gap when insurance won’t, meeting real-life needs like treatment, medication, transportation, and daily essentials.​

Our Story
Restoring HOPE Through Obedience, Compassion, and Legacy
Our journey began with an act of obedience by our founder, Salena Eason-Lee, whose heart was deeply moved by the devastating toll cancer takes on individuals and families. Witnessing firsthand how many patients lacked access to essential medications, treatments, and critical resources, Salena was resolute in her call to do more. In 2021, Changing Seasons Ministry, Inc. established the Cancer Foundation Program—a beacon of hope and support for those navigating the difficult path of cancer care and recovery.
In March 2024, our foundation suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of our beloved Secretary, Janice Harris, after her own battle with cancer. Her legacy of compassion, loyalty, and unwavering love for God and His people continues to inspire and fuel our mission. In her honor, we hosted our First Annual HOPE Gala in October 2024, a night of remembrance, purpose, and passion.

From this Gala, a vision was born: the HOPE House.
This future sanctuary will serve as a safe haven for cancer patients—providing not only vital care resources but also the emotional and spiritual support so many desperately need during their fight. Our first HOPE House is lovingly dedicated to Janice, embodying her passion for outreach, her servant heart, and her commitment to restoring faith and love in the lives of others.

Why We Wear the Rainbow Ribbon
At Changing Seasons Ministry, Inc. Cancer Foundation, our ribbon is not just a symbol—it’s a statement of love, unity, and unwavering support. Unlike a single-color ribbon that represents one specific type of cancer, our rainbow ribbon reflects them all.
Each color in the rainbow represents a different type of cancer, and each month of the year brings awareness to a unique cancer journey. We intentionally chose the rainbow because we refuse to overlook any battle. Every diagnosis matters. Every warrior is seen. Every story deserves to be honored.
Our foundation is committed to serving all individuals affected by cancer—regardless of the type or timing of their diagnosis. Whether it’s breast cancer in October, childhood cancer in September, or colon cancer in March, we stand in the gap year-round, offering financial assistance, emotional support, and fervent prayer to all who are walking through this storm.
The rainbow is also a biblical symbol of promise, and for us, it’s a reminder that hope still lives, healing is possible, and no one fights alone.
